The wireless RS485 bridge adaptor pair provides a point-to-point seamless link between wired networks. The Fast Bridge has expanded capability compared to the standard bridge.

As a typical example usage, the connection between a site smart energy meter, and downstream solar inverters could be realised where a wired connection is not feasible.

Description

The wireless RS485 bridge adaptor pair provide a seamless remote link, emulating a wired connection. This can be used for communication between an inverter and smart meter, or between multiple inverters in the same network. The modules offer both transmit and receive functionality, allowing master-slave configurations to operate unhindered.

Each kit is provided pre-paired and configured, ready for installation. Antennas included by default have an effective range of 100 meters in best conditions (line of sight, no obstructions). For distances greater than 100 meters, please refer to the 915MHz upgraded antenna item.

Items contained in one kit include:

  • 2x RS485 transceivers
  • 2x 915MHz 4.0dBi 0.19m Antennas and 3.6m Coaxial cable
  • 2x 24vDC DIN-Mount Power Supplies

Compatible with the following inverters:

  • Fronius
  • Sungrow Commercial and Residential Models
  • SAJ
  • Solis
  • Growatt
  • Solax. (Note: Please provide model in order, as settings vary across the range).
  • Hauwei (and rebrands)
  • Goodwe
  • SolarEdge
  • Deye

Compatibility of the following inverters is currently undertesting:

  • SoFar

Unlisted inverters have not been tested. The bridges may be compatible with other RS485 devices depending on settings and transmission speed.
