Intro
Working in new industries always appeals to Integrelec. Using our electrical industrial automation knowledge we can provide service to a number of industries and customers. Hydrasyst have been a big player in the water treatment sector for a number of years producing a vast selection of water treatment systems. Hydrasyst approached Integrelec to provide automation solutions for the control of their water processing plants. Hydrasyst engaged Integrelec to provide a solution after inheriting a pre-existing decommissioned KerrawashTM system that needed a number of process changes to retrofit this old system to a new plant on site in Melbourne, VIC.
Scope
For this newly developed system Integrelec had to develop a small switchboard to be integrated into the pre-existing system. Through clever engineering we designed a system to integrate our new system with the pre-existing. We developed and build this board in-house before shipping down to Melbourne. Our programmers inherited the existing code and were able to edit the code and screen to the requirements the customer. Another company, Voltea (Netherlands) were installing their own patented CapDi system which also required integration with the new Integrelec system

Commissioning
A new commissioning task was presented to us as Integrelec did not develop all of the code but were editing existing code to suit the new system. Our onsite electricians installed cables and motors for the Voltea system. Once complete our engineers and Voltea’s engineers were able to work together to successfully integrate the two systems.
