Home/Building Automation

The Logan Metro Sports Complex on Brisbane’s southside is an iconic building. Integrelec have taken over the support and programming of the extensive C-bus system installed at this building. Various requirements have changed over time including improved ventilation and exterior lighting control for improved efficiency. The challenge with this site has been the lack of documentation. We have not shyed away from this challenge but have taken the necessary steps to reverse-engineer the C-Bus program and touchscreen system, as well as carrying out significant cable tracing and testing. All new work has been thoroughly documented.

Residential Home Automation Updates
Technologies: C-Bus, Building Automation
Customers who purchase a property with an existing C-Bus system can often be confused about the system capability and how to change the system to their desires.
Integrelec have provided services to several home owners for this purpose, to de-cypher the program and inform the customer of the capabilities of the system. Customers are typically amazed at the power of their home automation system, and we have helped home owners to adjust the systems to their needs and improve their lifestyle.
Sometimes creative solutions are required for interfacing with non-C-bus sytems, such as in the example of an home ower who wished to know the open/closed status of their front gates from their C-Bus touch screen and at other points in the house. With no off-the-shelf interface was available, we designed a creative system using a small PLC to successfully read the gate control signals and import that into the C-Bus system. We are always up for a challenge, and if there’s any possible way it can be done, we will do it!
